The Central Government has issued an important clarification regarding the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, amid rising confusion and misinformation on social media. The government has confirmed that lakhs of farmers who were found ineligible under the scheme guidelines have now been marked for verification.
The official notice states that several applications submitted in the last few instalments did not meet eligibility norms and have therefore been flagged as “suspicious”.
Why Are Farmers Being Marked Ineligible?
According to the government, many removed/flagged cases involve:

Over 35.44 lakh beneficiaries have already been removed during this national verification drive.
Is the Removal Permanent?

The Centre clarified that the removal is temporary, and physical verification will now be carried out.

The 21st PM Kisan instalment has not been released yet.

Rumours about the annual benefit increasing from ₹6,000 to ₹9,000 are also false — no such announcement has been made.
